It is a rare case in the world of neurophysiological imaging that different approaches to complex problems are compared in an unbiased and transparent way. More often, personal preferences form the judgement whether one product or the other does the better job. Having said this, we would like to draw your attention to a recent publication that is, to our knowledge, the first fully independent, in-depth, quantitative comparison between the performance of BESA Research and Compumedics’ CURRY software.
The results were published in the high-ranking journal Neurology; 141 patients were analyzed prospectively using several methods, and every analysis step is exactly documented in the publication. Please draw your own conclusions – the paper makes a fascinating read and is available online at https://n.neurology.org/content/neurology/92/6/e576.full.pdf.
